In 2022, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (MoICT) initiated a Project for the development and expansion of Pemba Airport on Pemba Island in the Zanzibar Archipelago, as part of the Government of Zanzibar’s aim to promote the blue economy programme.

Southend Airport is one of the six London airports. It is located in Essex, England. It served around 2 million passengers in 2019 travelling to VFR and tourism routes flown by LCC airlines.

We delivered traffic, technical and business plan advisory for the sponsors.
The project consists of a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) agreement at Bissau-Bissalanca Airport in Guinea Bissau including airside and landside works, and modernisation and expansion of the existing terminal.

The project includes the construction of a third runway and taxiways, cargo development areas, technical block and tower, and the construction of the ARFF Station.

We supported the client through our role as Lenders’ Technical Advisor and have since continued to monitor development and operations on behalf of the lenders.
Our work included traffic forecasting for all airports, production of the business plans covering aeronautical and commercial revenues plus a Capex and Heavy Maintenance review of the assets on behalf of an infrastructure fund.

The Colombian Government is investing in the country’s central coffee-growing regions. This includes a large-scale improvement of the area’s aviation network. This specific project involved the development of an airport to replace the functionally constrained La Nubia Airport, serving the city of Manizales.

Philip SW Goldson Airport is the only international airport and the primary gateway to the country. The engagement involved assisting the airport management with planning and development of options to accommodate forecasted growth in the coming years.

We undertook a Traffic Forecast and Master Plan development.
We worked for a European Investor undertaking due diligence that included the production of traffic forecasts, non-aeronautical revenue projections, operating expenditure and technical advisory as part of the €1.5bn bid.

The study was part of a larger Master Plan for the new airport and involved the development of different scenarios for different operational strategies between the new airport and the existing airport in Kathmandu.

We undertook a Traffic Forecasting Study on behalf of the Authority in Nepal for a new international commercial airport in the country.
We produced independent traffic, revenue, opex and capex forecasts for the Aeroports de Lyon including Lyon St Exupery Airport and Lyon Bron.
