Projects
The project consists of the construction, operation, and maintenance of a private 30 km toll motorway, from San Antonio Suchitepéquez to Santa Cruz Mulúa, along the CA-2 in Guatemala. The new toll road will aim to reduce traffic on the existing route and ease congestion in and around the towns of San Bernardino, Cuyotenango and Mazatenango.

We undertook Traffic & Revenue Due Diligence on behalf of the Lenders of the Project.
This project involved two road concessions for a period of 25 years; the Puerto Salgar – Barrancabermeja road, which runs for 259.6km and is broken down into thirteen functional units with two toll plazas, and the Sabana de Torres – Curumani road, which runs for 272.1km and is broken down into 10 functional units with three toll plazas.

Infrata worked on behalf of the Sponsor providing both technical and traffic due diligence, assisting the client in the development of the O&M and lifecycle strategy and building a bottom up cost model, as well as toll business plan and revenue forecasts.
The Transgabonaise Road project will see the upgrade of the existing highway between the capital Libreville and Franceville, Gabon’s 3rd city. The works will be broken down into two phases, which will see the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the highway as well as the repair of 4 viaducts and 2 bridges. Construction will also include 3 new toll plazas, a weighing station and operational buildings.

We provided Technical, ESG and Traffic advisory services on behalf of the client.
The Beach Expressway is a 14-mile, four lane highway, including a two lane tolled bridge crossing Portage Creek. It provides a link between the I-10 and the Gulf Coast of Alabama, directly serving the seaside resort of Orange Beach.

We provided Demand and Traffic forecasts for the Sponsor.
This project involved the prospective acquisition of 100% of the Baixo Alentejo sub concession which consists of the construction renovation, financing, operations and maintenance of a 113.4km road in the south of Portugal. The sub concession operates under a 30-year shadow toll concession which is due to end in 2039.

We worked on behalf of the Buyer providing both technical and traffic diligence.
The 942m Senegambia bridge opened in 2019 and includes two tolling plazas, each located on either sides of the bridge.
Infrata's Role
We assisted the client for the granting of rights to operate, maintain and collect tolls via a concession agreement with the Gambia government. We also provided technical due diligence on the asset reviewing, commenting and advising on all technical aspects. The team provided a red flag report to the client and assisted the client in addressing these flags.
A 34-year concession to design, build, operate and maintain the new Samuel De Champlain Bridge in Quebec, Canada. The ambitious project – backed by the Government of Canada – includes a 3.3km crossing of the St. Lawrence River. The project sees the construction of a 430m cable-stayed bridge with approach viaducts, and a reconfiguration of adjacent highways.
The project recently won the prestigious 2020 Schreyer Award for best demonstrating technical excellence and innovation.

We are working as the Lenders’ Technical Advisor for the Signature on the Saint-Lawrence Group. We provide full technical due diligence, as well as construction and operations monitoring services on behalf of Lenders and Rating Agencies.
